Reconstructions: Architecture & Blackness in america

Chicago-based artist and architect Amanda WIlliams is known for exploring the intersection of race, color, and space in urban environments. Her project, We’re Not Down There, We’re Over Here. (2020), featured in The Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) 2021 exhibition, Reconstructions: Architecture and Blackness in America, imagines a world where black people are truly free.
